Green Roof
Proposed Green Roof for Victoria University of Wellington, Kelburn Campus - Overbridge
This project experimented with developing a green roof in the windy city of Wellington - which would be durable, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing for the students of Victoria University. Not only would it increase the visual appearance it would also educate on the functions of a green roof.
I decided that this overbridge connecting the two main buildings at the Kelburn campus would be ideal location for a green roof, as it would be therapeutic for the students on site.
The plant distribution is informed by the site conditions, as well as inspired by the growth of moss on bricks and the bark of trees.
